KARESSENCE ADOPTION PROCESS

If you are planning to adopt a Tonkinese, you've come to the right place.

We try to match each individual family with the perfect cat or kitten to fit their lifestyle(s). Just like people, cats have very different personalities, and it is important to choose a kitten that will feel "comfortable" in its new home. We feel this is more relevant than focusing on their particular coat patterns or colors. Experience has shown us that when the cat is comfortable in its home environment, the owners are much happier with their particular pet. Some Tonks are very outgoing, highly active, and fit in well in a large family with small children and even other pets. Others are a bit shyer and may prefer not to compete with other pets. They are great for smaller families, where they can feel and be treated like the "king or queen of the house." This is the reason we ask a few personal questions, in order to help determine what type of cat would "best fit" into your home environment, and also to learn of your preferences.

Please fill out the form, as the first step in the adoption process. We will review the form once its received, and will contact you if we have a match. However if we do not have a kitten or cat available with your particular preferences, we will still keep your information on our Waiting List for 60 days, or until we have the cat that meets your specifications. This, however is not the only way to go about the adoption process.
